At Edina Orthodontics – Centennial Lakes, we’re more than just straightening teeth—we’re creating smiles, building confidence, and having a blast while we do it! Our practice is powered by a team of three talented, compassionate orthodontists; five energetic, skilled licensed dental assistants; and three rockstar front office pros who keep things running smoothly.

We pride ourselves on a fun, team-oriented atmosphere where laughter is part of the job description and high-quality patient care is the standard. Our hours are family-friendly—Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM during the school year, with shortened summer hours so we can soak up that glorious Minnesota sunshine.

As a Licensed Orthodontic Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our clinical team, helping to deliver top-tier care and unforgettable patient experiences.

Daily Tasks

Assist the orthodontist during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging as needed.
Using Ortho2 software to maintain accurate patient records.
Educate patients and families on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care instructions and updates on their treatment.
Operate 3D intraoral scanner.
Pitching in wherever needed—we’re a team!

Qualifications

Applicants must be licensed or have already graduated from a CODA accredited dental assisting program and have or plan on acquiring a current dental assisting license to work in Minnesota within the next few months.
Previous orthodontic experience? Great! No experience? No worries—we’ll train you!
Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety protocols.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing excellent patient care.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
A positive attitude and a love for making people smile.
