Responsibilities:

Perform dental examinations and diagnose oral conditions
Develop treatment plans and provide appropriate dental care
Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
Place and restore dental implants
Interpret medical imaging such as X-rays and CT scans to assess dental health
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to ensure efficient patient care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft, Epic)
Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique in all procedures
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education programs

Requirements:

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
Valid state dental license to practice dentistry
Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral pathology, and medical terminology
Proficiency in medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience working in a dental office setting preferred
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff members
