Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental team. As the first point of contact for patients, the receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a patient-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:Patient Interaction & Customer Service:

Greet patients in a warm and professional manner, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
Answer phone calls promptly and assist with patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and insurance verifications.
Provide patients with necessary paperwork and assist them in completing medical history forms.
Manage the appointment calendar efficiently to optimize the dentist’s schedule.
Confirm and remind patients of their appointments through phone, email, or text messages.
Handle cancellations, reschedules, and follow-up appointments in a timely manner.

Administrative Duties:

Verify and update patient information, insurance details, and medical records in the office system.
Process insurance claims and assist patients with insurance-related questions.
Collect payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate billing records.
Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and faxes.

Compliance & Confidentiality:

Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
Follow office policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in dental administration is a plus.
Previous experience as a receptionist, preferably in a dental or medical office, is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in dental practice management software (such as Open Dental) is a plus, but not a requirement.
Basic understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance policies.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a professional office setting with a friendly, patient-focused approach.
