Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, as we cater to patients of all ages.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Manage patient records and medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient management and scheduling.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as required.
Handle dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Assist in various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Maintain knowledge of anatomy, aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and dental terminology.

Skills

Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Experience with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and maintain medical records efficiently.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and vital signs monitoring.
Experience with 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
