Treatment Planner – Dental Office

About the Job

We are looking for a Treatment Planner who is warm, detail-oriented, and motivated to help patients understand and move forward with their dental care. If you are a people-person who enjoys guiding patients through their treatment options and financial arrangements, we’d love to meet you.SPECIFIC DUTIES

Patient Management:

Review and present treatment plans to patients in clear, understandable terms
Explain insurance coverage, co-pays, and out-of-pocket costs
Verify patient insurance benefits and obtain breakdowns
Coordinate with dentists and clinical staff to ensure treatment plans are accurate
Assist patients with financial arrangements and payment plans
Schedule appointments and follow up on incomplete treatment
Submit pre-authorizations and communicate with insurance providers as needed
Track case acceptance and document discussions in the practice management system

Reception Management

Manage day-to-day operations of the dental office.
Open and close dental office according to office protocol.
Review the office for a neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes.
Answer all incoming phone calls within three (3) rings, use phone dialogue protocol language on every phone call.
Manage the answering machine daily. Assure that the message is context appropriate.

Qualifications:

Dental office experience preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes a plus
Strong communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers
Experience with dental software (Open Dental)
