We like our office staff to be cross trained in both the front and the back.

We are looking for 2 people to be crossed trained in both dental assisting and dental administration

For the Dental Assisting duties:

Dental assistants perform a wide range of tasks to support dentists and the staff in providing quality dental care.

Their duties typically include:

Patient Care: Greeting and seating patients, Taking medical histories, Preparing patients for procedures, Assisting with dental examinations, and Providing post-treatment instructions. In addition:

Educating patients on oral hygiene practices
Providing fluoride treatments
Fitting and adjusting removable appliances
Performing dental lab work, such as pouring and trimming casts
Maintaining a clean and safe dental office environment
Sterilizing dental instruments
Preparing materials, equipment and operatories for procedures
Assisting with dental procedures, such as extractions, fillings, crowns, implants
Taking dental X-rays-We Use sensor technology, we also have Panoramic and panoramic BWX and CBCT
Making impressions and making in office bleaching trays, retainers, sometimes nightguards and temporary crowns after crown prep

Dental administrators

Their duties include scheduling patient appointments, managing patient records and communication, handling billing and insurance claims, ordering supplies, managing finances, and overseeing staff and office operations to ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently. They act as a liaison between patients, dental professionals, and insurance companies. Key Responsibilities:

Patient Management:
Greeting and checking in patients.
Answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
Scheduling and confirming appointments.
Managing patient registration and updating health history.
Administrative & Financial Tasks:
Maintaining accurate patient records and charts.
Processing and submitting insurance claims.
Handling billing, payments, and financial arrangements.
Managing the office budget, paying vendors, and processing payroll.
Office Operations:
Coordinating the overall operations of the practice to ensure efficiency.
Managing office supplies and equipment.
Ensuring the office adheres to health and safety regulations, such as OSHA.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the office.
Communication:
Acting as a liaison between patients, dentists, and insurance companies.
Coordinating with dental hygienists and assistants.
Assisting with staff training and coordination.
Supporting dentists with administrative tasks as needed.

Administrative Tasks:

Scheduling appointments, Maintaining patient records, Processing insurance forms, Ordering dental supplies, and Performing billing and collections tasks.

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate individuals
- Schedule appointments and manage the office schedule
- Perform insurance filings and reports
- Dental knowledge is helpful

-End of day reports to see what the production and collection was and also payment reconciliation.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as invoicing and billing and insurance billing
- Provide administrative support to the dental office staff
- Utilize computerized systems and software to perform various tasks, including data entry and record keeping
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in an office management or administrative assistant role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using computer software- Softdent, Eaglesoft, Fuse, Carestream, including Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional manner
- Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology is a plus
