Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed or Unlicensed Dental Assistant to join our newly renovated private dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) if licensed/certified.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling appointments and documenting patient information.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, implant surgery, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure efficient patient flow and scheduling.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices is essential.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or is a plus.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and ability to operate 3D scanners is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
