Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various administrative duties related to patient care, insurance verification, and office operations. This position requires proficiency with Open Dental software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and the dental team. Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:
Greet patients upon arrival and manage the check-in/check-out process.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments in a timely manner.
Answer patient inquiries and address concerns or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
Collect patient information, including demographic and insurance details.
Ensure a friendly, professional, and compassionate environment for all patients

Insurance Verification & Billing:

Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits by calling and looking up insurances.
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and ensure accurate billing.
Prepare and submit insurance claims in accordance with protocols.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and work with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies.
Collect patient payments for co-pays, deductibles, and any outstanding balances.

Office Administration:

Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry in the Open Dental system.
Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with necessary forms and supplies.
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and preparing documents for patients.
Assist with other office operations as needed, including phone triage, office scheduling, and patient communication.

Customer Service & Support:

Provide excellent customer service and act as a liaison between patients, dentists, and staff.
Help with patient flow and ensure that patients have a smooth and efficient experience from check-in to check-out.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience working at a dental front desk is preferred.
Proficiency in dental office software (specifically Open Dental).
Knowledge of dental insurance processes, claims submission, and verification.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable handling sensitive patient information with confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
