We are a fast-paced general dentistry practice in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, committed to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment. We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Dental Practice Manager to lead our team and ensure smooth daily operations.

Position Overview

The Dental Practice Manager will oversee all administrative and operational aspects of our practice, including staff management, financial operations, patient relations, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Operations

Oversee daily operations of the dental practice to ensure efficiency and productivity
Develop and implement office policies, procedures, and protocols
Manage scheduling systems to optimize patient flow and provider efficiency
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; coordinate with vendors
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all state and federal regulations
Liaise with external business support teams

Financial Management

Oversee billing, collections, and accounts receivable
Monitor practice finances, including budgeting and expense management
Assist with payroll and employee benefits administration
Work with insurance companies to verify coverage and manage claims
Review financial reports and analyze practice performance metrics

Staff Leadership

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise administrative and clinical support staff
Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching
Create staff schedules and manage time-off requests
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture and resolve personnel issues
Lead team meetings and facilitate professional development

Patient Relations

Ensure exceptional patient experience from scheduling through treatment
Address patient concerns and complaints professionally
Implement patient retention and referral strategies
Oversee patient communication/engagement systems, including reminders and follow-ups

Marketing & Growth

Assist with marketing initiatives to grow the practice
Manage online presence, including website and social media
Build relationships with the local community

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 3-5 years of dental practice experience
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
Proficiency with dental practice management software
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance requirements
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

3-5 years of dental practice management experience preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
