We are adding a skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to our private practice, with a four day workweek, holiday pay, health and IRA benefits. The ideal candidate should have a solid 2 year background in the clinical dental field.

Responsibilities:

Aid the dentist during various treatment procedures
Prepare patients for dental work
Record medical and dental histories, as well as vital signs
Offer post-treatment oral care instructions to patients
Sterilize and disinfect equipment and instruments
Set up the work area for procedures

Skills:

Proficiency in dental software (Dexis, Eaglesoft,etc)
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy
Personal / social strengths that contribute to teamwork and customer service
Proficient in four-handed dentistry techniques
Strong dental assisting background with confidence and drive to grow

Requirements:

EDDA certification is ideal. We promote hands on learning and training as well.
Loupes (or willing to purchase loupes)
Prior experience in a dental office (at least 2 years is best for our environment and pace)

Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Positive energy and teamwork approach
