Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient treatment plans, coordinating care, and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of dental terminology and medical billing processes.

Duties

Coordinate patient treatment plans by reviewing medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage insurance verification processes, including Medicare, to facilitate smooth billing and collections.
Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for efficient patient record management.
Provide administrative support in scheduling appointments and managing front desk operations while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
Assist with medical coding and billing tasks, including CPT coding and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy to ensure proper care plans are established for each patient.
Maintain organized medical records and filing systems while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
Deliver exceptional customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and providing information on treatment options.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is essential.
Strong understanding of medical billing processes, including insurance verification and collections.
Proficiency in using EHR systems; experience with Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD coding) is required; familiarity with Medicare guidelines is a plus.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; typing skills should be efficient (10 key typing experience preferred).
