Litchfield Dental Care is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our well-established, patient-centered practice. As a key member of our dental practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health services, educating patients on proper dental hygiene, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental hygiene department at our dental office.

Compensation

$50-$55/hr
$1500 Sign-on Bonus
Incentive/Bonus plan available!

Hours

Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tuesday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
36-40 hours per week

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow and patient comfort.
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic technique and infection control standards.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions tailored to pediatric and adult patients.
Review medical records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Collaborate with dentists during procedures by providing necessary support and ensuring all documentation is accurate.
Monitor and record vital signs, medical history updates, and other relevant health information as part of comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a sterile environment by following strict infection control protocols and managing dental instruments with precision.
Support the dental team by performing general assisting duties, including documentation review, medical coding, and ensuring seamless clinic operations.
Stay updated on current dental terminology, procedures, and technological advancements to provide the highest quality care.

Skills

Proficiency in using Dentrix.
Familiarity and use of iTero scanners.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
Experience in pediatric dentistry as well as general dentistry practices to effectively serve diverse patient populations.
Expertise in chairside assisting with an emphasis on four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
Ability to accurately perform vital signs assessment and interpret medical imaging results.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and documentation review.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care and understanding of medical coding practices for billing purposes.

Requirements:

Active Arizona Dental Hygienist License
Local Anesthesia Certification
Laser Certification
Current CPR/BLS Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
