Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Front Desk Scheduler who can also help with Dental Assisting, to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. As a Dental Scheduler and Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Our office hours are currently:

Monday 9-6 (preparing to switch to 8-5)

Wednesday 9-6

Friday 9-6

Some Thursdays 8-2 (as needed if patients are on the schedule)

1 Saturday per month (second Saturday of every month) 8-3

We hope to eventually be open full day Thursdays, then Tuesdays if busy enough

Duties

Scheduling Patients
Verifying Insurance
Confirming patients
Posting payments, collecting payments
Assisting the dentist and dental hygienist
Sterilization
Organization and cleanliness
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and managing insurance claims.

Skills

Proficiency in Open Dental
Strong understanding of ICD-10 coding for accurate billing and documentation.
Knowledge of health information management practices within a dental setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Experience in medical office management is an asset.
Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
