Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality dental care, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral health, and collaborating with the dental team to deliver exceptional service.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures using appropriate techniques.
Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation of patient care and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in pediatric dentistry as applicable.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office or clinic setting, demonstrating proficiency in the following areas:

Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus but not necessary.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Strong background in infection control measures and patient care standards. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient interactions, and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. A commitment to ongoing professional development is encouraged to stay abreast of industry best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42.22 - $50.85 per hour

Expected hours: 34 per week
