Position Summary:
The Dental Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of dental insurance processing, including verifying benefits, submitting claims, following up on unpaid claims, and communicating with patients and insurance companies. This role is critical in ensuring smooth financial operations and maintaining excellent patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility for new and existing patients
Accurately enter insurance information into the practice management system
Submit dental claims and pre-authorizations in a timely manner
Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve claim denials or rejections
Post insurance payments and adjustments
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and treatment plans
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental insurance plans and coding
Collaborate with front desk, billing, and clinical teams to ensure accurate records and billing
Provide support in resolving patient billing questions and concerns

Qualifications:

Prior experience in dental insurance billing (1+ years preferred)
Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, CDT codes, and claim submission processes
Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix) is a plus
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
