Position SummaryThe Lead Dental Assistant is a clinical leadership role responsible for supporting daily clinical operations, mentoring the dental assistant team, and ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care. This role works closely with the Clinical Director and serves as a resource and role model for the assistant team.

We are seeking a reliable and accountable team leader who consistently shows up on time, supports the clinical team, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

Lead, train, and support the dental assistant team.
Conduct brief weekly huddles to address workflow, challenges, and best practices.
Onboard and coach new and existing assistants to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and office policies.
Provide ongoing feedback and support a collaborative, professional team culture.

Clinical Operations & Patient Care

Ensure treatment rooms are fully prepared, stocked, and turned over efficiently.
Assist doctors during restorative, surgical, endodontic, and periodontic procedure
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and dental charting.
Support patient education and post-operative instructions.

Sterilization, Equipment & Compliance

Oversee sterilization and infection control processes in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Ensure dental equipment is maintained and issues are promptly addressed.
Monitor sterilization protocols and support team compliance.

Inventory Management

Manage dental supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed to maintain efficiency and control costs.

Requirement:

At least 5+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant
RDA license p[referred

Reporting Structure

The Lead Dental Assistant reports directly to the Clinical Director and provides regular updates on team performance, operational issues, and improvement opportunities.

Pay Range:

$29–$31 per hour, based on experience, skills, and leadership qualifications.
