Position Summary

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing routine clerical support to the Dental office or clinic within the Health Department for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual provides excellent customer service to Tribal Members who request Dental Services. Duties include greeting patients as they enter office/clinic and providing necessary paperwork; answering telephones, providing accurate information to callers; scheduling and confirming appointments, and ensuring prescriptions are filled and dispensed prior to the procedure. The incumbent composes and types a variety of standard documents and correspondence and completes forms.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a Dental Receptionist or clerical experience utilizing office equipment and following standard office procedures including typing, filing, and maintaining interdepartmental communications is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Incumbent must possess excellent customer service skills and must be able to work independently or within diverse groups. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette skills. Ability to travel across reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
