Welcome to Grins Pediatric Dentistry! We are so excited to work with you in helping serve the children of our community in a state of the art pediatric dental office.

A Dental Receptionist is a vital part of the dental practice, and we are looking for a customer service orientated, hard working individual to join our team!

Duties include:

Answering calls in a professional manner.

Appropriately manage multiple incoming calls.

Schedule patient appointments in an appropriate and timely manner in order to maintain a full daily schedule and meet production goals.

Monitor/track Broken Appointments.

Notify clinical staff of changes in schedules.

Greet patients immediately upon arrival in a pleasant and positive manner.

Perform check-in procedures; obtain appropriate signatures for required documents.

Assist the doctor in getting patients to understand and accept the recommended treatment and subsequently coordinate the treatment plan to work for both the patient and the dental office.

At check-out, collect payment from patients in the form of cash, credit card, check or Zelle.

Confirm all charges from the day sheet against routing slips.

Verify patient insurance information, including coverage and benefits.

Process insurance claims and follow upon outstanding claims.

Assist in billing inquiries from patients

Able to perform “close out” procedures at the end of day.

Attend morning huddles.

Able to independently run the office in the absence of the Lead.

Maintain cleanliness of the front desk area and waiting area.

Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.

Required education and experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience with insurance preferred

Grins operates Monday through Thursday and alternating half day Fridays during the school year. We do not work Fridays during the summer.

Hours are Monday 8:30-5, Tuesday through Thursday 7:30-5 and Fridays 7:30-1. No Saturdays ever.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 35.0 per week
