Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
Schedule appointments efficiently using Curve dental practice management
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications.
Collect payments and manage billing procedures including medical collection tasks
Maintain accurate and organized dental records
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; handle patient inquiries promptly and professionally
Manage patient intake forms, update medical histories, and assist with appointment reminders

Skills

Proven experience as a dental receptionist or medical administrative support role with at least two years of clinic experience
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-9/10 coding, CPT coding, and health information management standards
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Curve
Familiarity with insurance verification processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software
Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing tasks
Experience working with multi-line phone systems and managing front desk operations in a busy dental or healthcare setting

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
