Job Summary
We are seeking a Dental Assistant to assist our three hygienists and chairside assist our two dentists A good foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and clinical procedures is required. You will help the hygienists set up and break down their rooms maintaining infection control protocols, and keeping them on scehdule. You will also be called upon to assist the dentists in clinical procedures including Cerec and Itero scanning of implant and crown cases and Invisalign treatments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a team centered environment and provide excellence in dental care.

Responsibilities

Assist our three hygienists in preparing their rooms and keeping them on schedule.
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures by preparing and passing instruments, ensuring smooth workflow.
Take and develop digital dental radiographs while adhering to safety standards and infection control protocols.
Manage patient records accurately using our Open Dental computer software and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare treatment rooms with proper aseptic technique and maintain sterilization standards to prevent cross-contamination.
Provide chairside support by taking vital signs, medical history, and assisting with medical imaging procedures.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans using clear dental terminology.
Operate The Cerec and Itero scanners and other advanced dental technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.
Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines and stay updated on industry best practices for general dentistry procedures.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy.
Skilled in X-ray techniques, medical imaging, and maintaining accurate medical records for insurance billing and legal purposes.
Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures including four-handed dentistry, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols.
Ability to communicate effectively using dental and medical terminology while maintaining a compassionate approach toward patients of all ages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
