Duties

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
Assist dentists during exams, cleanings, restorations, and prosthodontic procedures with precision and care
Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols
ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge to support safe and effective treatments
Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with medical documentation for comprehensive medical records management
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and maintaining organized medical coding for billing purposes

Skills

Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety
Experience with dental assisting procedures ,including chairside assisting, taking X-rays
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the team
Ability to work efficiently in general dentistry settings
A proactive attitude toward infection prevention protocols and patient comfort in a fast-paced environment
