Duties

Lead the overall management of the dental practice, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to ensure efficiency and high-quality service
Supervise clinical and administrative staff, and fostering a positive team environment
Oversee fiscal management activities such as payroll, billing of claims, coding accuracy, and financial reporting to maintain profitability
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, OSHA requirements, and other healthcare policies to safeguard patient information and clinic operations
Manage medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
Coordinate with insurance providers for managed care processing and utilization management to optimize reimbursement rates
Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, scheduling, and resolving personnel issues in accordance with employment laws

Skills

Proven experience in medical office management within dental or healthcare settings with strong knowledge of dental clinic operations
Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle management
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, for managing medical records and billing processes
Supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical terminology essential for maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate documentation
Familiarity with medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling, insurance claims processing, and patient communication
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records, clinic workflows, and regulatory requirements
