Valley Smile Care is seeking a Treatment / Insurance Coordinator to join our patient-focused dental team. You will be responsible for educating patients on their treatment plans, helping them understand and accept recommended care, and coordinating scheduling and financial arrangements. Your communication and organizational skills (energy and attitude) will be key to creating a seamless experience for patients while supporting the practice's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Educate patients about recommended dental treatments using clear and compassionate communication
Present and explain treatment plans, including timelines, procedures, and financial estimates
Coordinate appointments in line with patient needs and doctor availability
Discuss insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs; provide financial options or payment plans as needed
Follow up with patients who have not yet scheduled treatment to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate closely with the clinical and front office teams to ensure efficient patient flow
Address patient questions and concerns regarding treatment or insurance options
Ensure all treatment plans are entered accurately in the dental software system (Dentrix) and any Insurance documentation is submitted accurately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (dependant on experience).

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift
Monday-Thursday: 7:35a - 5:00p
Friday: 7:35a - 3:00p
1 hour unpaid lunch break

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)
Associate or Bachelor Degree (Preferred)

Experience:

1-3 years of experience as a Treatment or Insurance Coordinator in a dental or healthcare setting (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and insurance processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and rapport with patients
Experience presenting financial options and facilitating case acceptance
Proficiency in dental practice management software (Dentrix preferred)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to providing a high level of customer service
