We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications efficiently
Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, answering inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately
Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle medical billing using EMR systems like Meditech or Epic
Review and update patient records, ensuring accuracy in documentation review and medical records management
Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical histories
Maintain organized filing systems for dental records, medical records, and other administrative documents
Support office management tasks such as inventory control, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications

Skills

Proven experience in dental office or medical administrative support with clinic experience preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and HIPAA compliance standards
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic or Athenahealth; familiarity with EHR systems is essential
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (including 10 key typing)
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient service excellence and phone etiquette
Ability to handle medical billing processes including insurance verification and Medicare claims processing
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Strong organizational skills with experience in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks
Knowledge of dental terminology and hospital or clinic experience enhances your ability to support care plans effectively
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
