Duties

Act as the primary point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans, financial arrangements, and insurance claims
Coordinate scheduling of appointments and follow-up visits to optimize patient flow and satisfaction
Verify patient insurance coverage, explain benefits, and assist with pre-authorizations to facilitate treatment approval
Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims accurately and promptly using specialized billing software
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or discrepancies effectively
Educate patients on their treatment options, payment plans, and insurance processes to promote transparency and trust
Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and claim statuses to ensure compliance and smooth workflow

Skills

Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures
Excellent communication skills to clearly explain treatment options and insurance details to patients
Proficiency in medical office software, billing systems, and insurance claim processing tools
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dental office operations combined with experience in handling insurance claims is highly desirable
Ability to work collaboratively with team members while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, billing, and claim submissions
