Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our amazing Periodontal team. The Surgical Assistant will provide support during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both patients and medical team.

Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeon during surgical procedures by handing them instruments and supplies
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections
- Handle medical documentation accurately and efficiently
- Operate X-Ray and other medical imaging equipment as needed
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy to assist in surgical procedures
- Follow proper medical/dental coding procedures for billing purposes
- Maintain and update patient medical records using software such as Epic or Eaglesoft

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in medical documentation and assisting in surgical procedures
- Familiarity with X-Ray, aseptic technique, and medical imaging
- Knowledge of medical/dental coding practices
- Experience with dental software for medical records management
