Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental team. This role is 20-25 hours to start and will have the opportunity to transition to full time once you are fully trained.

In this role, you will be the friendly face and first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your proactive approach and excellent organizational skills will help maintain efficient office operations, manage patient interactions, and support the overall success of our dental practice.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance information, and assist with new patient intake procedures
Schedule appointments efficiently using Dentrix dental practice management software
Make outbound calls to patients to schedule continued care appointments
Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle billing tasks including medical collection procedures and documentation review
Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims
Maintain accurate patient record
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and managing medical records securely

Requirements

Experience in a dental office front desk role
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Dentrix
Insurance Billing experience is a plus
Knowledge of insurance verification processes
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient population
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and filing tasks
