Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality dental prosthetics, restorations, and appliances that meet precise specifications and patient needs. Your expertise will ensure that each product is crafted with accuracy, hygiene, and efficiency, contributing to successful patient outcomes. Responsibilities

Fabricate dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, and orthodontic appliances using CAD/CAM technology and traditional laboratory techniques
Interpret dental prescriptions and detailed lab instructions to produce customized dental prosthetics
Collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to ensure proper fit, function, and aesthetics of all fabricated products
Maintain strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout all laboratory processes
Use precision measuring tools like micrometers to ensure accurate dimensions and quality standards are met
Keep detailed records of all laboratory procedures, materials used, and product specifications in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
Assist with chairside procedures when necessary, providing support during patient appointments and ensuring seamless communication between the lab and clinical team

Skills

Extensive knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental fabrication
Proficiency in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic for documentation purposes
Strong understanding of infection control practices and sterilization procedures within a dental setting
Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for designing restorations and appliances
Ability to perform precise measurements using tools like micrometers and calipers
Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate recordkeeping
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with dental professionals and patients
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry considerations for working with children’s dental appliances or restorations

Qualifications:

Dental Lab Technician experience preferred OR
2+ years of Dental Assistant experience with strong restorative knowledge
Familiarity with dental materials and impression techniques
Digital dentistry/CAD-CAM experience is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases
