Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. As an Insurance Coordinator/Front Desk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and verifying patient insurance coverage. This position requires knowledge of dental terminology, experience with indemnity, PPO and Medicaid. This position also requires answering phones, scheduling appointments, treatment plan presentation and collection of payments. Bilingual preferable (English/Spanish).

Duties:

- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility

- Submission of pre-authorization of various dental procedures

- Review and process insurance claims for accuracy and completeness

- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service

- Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

- Previous experience working in a dental office

- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9 coding systems, and insurance verification processes

- Familiarity with various dental insurance and reimbursement guidelines

- Proficient in using Eaglesoft dental software and electronic dental billing

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with complex information

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
