We are currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to infuse new energy into our Hygiene team. Training! We will train you to become a superior Dental Hygienist and our (very unique) Global Training program allows you to see how/what all departments do to support you in your role. Some of our Dental Hygienists have moved into roles as Hygiene Team Leads and Clinical Director.

We give plenty of support and we’re with you every step of the way! You start our BDC journey with a 15 day Global Training and your own Ambassador to walk you through it all. Our intention during the beginning days is to introduce you to BDC's entire service, culture mindset and give you customized and or individualized training needed to master your role as a Hygienist.

Our Hygiene department is very busy so we need someone who is:

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Open to learn all about technologies that will enhance our patient care and service.
Self motivated, takes initiative without constant direction.
Calm under pressure, strong communicator.
Comfortable with dental insurance concerns and questions.

We expect you to be personally responsible for being on-time and present for every shift you work and always willing to go the extra mile for our patients!

Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend (or other dental software) would be helpful in setting you up for success, but not mandatory. Ability and open to learn our dental software. Familiar with Wellness scanning and the important behind this new technology.

Here’s an example of what a Hygienist might do in a day:

\"Huddle\" your day, following our guidelines so our Insurance team can prepare your schedule for success, ensuring patient financial responsibilities are being honored.
Comfortable with Zoom whitening and whitening for life options.
Know and utilize our adjunct offerings.
Instruction of proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Comfortable with keeping up to date with email communications as the day goes on.
Professionally being able to hold space for anxious patients that you are treating.
Comfortable in building relationships with your patients, where they trust you and your recommendations for care.
Perform root planning and sub-gingival curettage.
Apply Sealants.
Adhere to our standard of care and appointment scheduling timelines.
Answer treatment questions patients have both before and after their visit, if necessary.
Oral cancer and Airway health screenings.
Mentoring new team members when comfortable and can create value.
Work with our Hygiene Coordinators to help schedule you for a successful and productive day.
Chart all in Ascend, including updating any medical histories of patients.
Comfortable to ask a happy patient to share their feedback online in a review, or refer a friend to the Practice if they know anyone looking for a new dental home. Proudly sharing our service with others.
Work collaboratively with the entire Practice to meet or exceed monthly goals so all can receive their check exercise bonus!
Generate and review reports, when directed, to help you maximize your hourly production.
Attend full staff meetings and specially scheduled trainings.
Take digital x-rays and wellness scans.
Provide patient with prophylaxis when needed.
Treatment of periodontal conditions.
Increase patient awareness of any conditions or uncompleted dental work.

We're looking for someone who has:

Someone who is the \"whole package\". Customer service minded, likable and a strong clinician.
Flexibility in regards to scheduling. Our office is open 6 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays.
Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service in a fast-paced practice. Superior clinical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and high follow thru.
Must have a certificate in anesthesia.
A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude. Collaborative and comfortable in communications.
Outstanding teamwork skills and the ability work with a diverse group of people.

Education:

Associate degree in Dental Hygiene required
Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene a bonus
One-three years experience practicing required

Babylon Dental Care Perks:

Competitive Compensation: To start you will earn $50 per hour, then move to a percentage range of your production. Our Hygiene team members paid on this model earn $52 to $104 per hour, which translates to an annual take home of $79,000 to $158,000.
Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy paid holidays, personal time off, sick time (as per NYS law), health insurance options available, a $2500 dental credit for your own dental needs within the Practices and a 401K with employer match. Monthly team bonus opportunities are extended. Most benefits start after your probationary period of 90 days. You start accruing sick time from day one, as per NYS and the Practice extends PTO within year one.
