The primary responsibility of a Dental Treatment Coordinator is to serve as the liaison between the patient, the dentist, and the administrative team, guiding the patient through their entire treatment journey to ensure case acceptance and a positive experience.

The goal of a Treatment Coordinator is to facilitate patient understanding and acceptance of treatment, manage financial arrangements efficiently, and maintain accurate documentation and communication among the dental team and the patient. The Treatment Coordinator works under the supervision of the Periodontist and collaborates with the entire dental team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Explain Treatment Plans: Clearly communicate the dentist's recommended treatment plan with the clinical assistant to patients in easy-to-understand language.
Address Concerns: Listen to patient concerns, answer questions, and address fears or objections regarding proposed treatments with empathy and patience.
Build Trust: Act as a consistent, supportive point of contact to build a strong, trusting relationship with the patient.
Promote Oral Health: Educate patients on the importance and value of completing their recommended treatment for their overall health and well-being.
Present Costs: Review treatment costs and present a clear breakdown of fees to patients.
Discuss Financial Options: Explain and coordinate various payment and financing options (e.g., in-house plans, third-party financing) to help patients manage costs and overcome financial barriers.
Collect Payments: Collect deposit from the patients and record in Curve. Manage financial paperwork, and handle sensitive collection conversations when necessary.
Coordinate Appointments: Schedule appointments and follow-ups efficiently, considering both patient and provider availability, to maximize chair time and maintain smooth patient flow.
Manage Incomplete Cases: Actively manage the list within the Curve software of unscheduled or incomplete treatments by following up with patients via phone calls, letters, or emails to encourage them to move forward with care.
Maintain Records: Ensure all patient records, interactions, treatment plans, and billing information are accurately documented within Curve and maintained on a regular basis.
Facilitate Referrals: Coordinate patient referrals to specialists when necessary, ensuring all relevant information is sent and received.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
