Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Oral Surgery/Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This vital role involves supporting the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Experience with office based procedures and anesthesia a plus. This paid full time temporary position (4-6 months) but has the opportunity to turn into a full time paid permanent position with benefits.

Duties

Assist oral surgeon during surgical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and patient positioning to ensure smooth operations.
Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images while adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
Perform dental assisting duties such as four-handed dentistry, chairside support, and taking intraoral photographs for treatment planning.
Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures and provide compassionate care tailored to oral surgery patients.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

Proven experience working in a dental/oral surgery environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures while demonstrating empathy and professionalism..
Ability to perform vital signs assessment

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
