Duties

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care.
Take dental X-rays , ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Manage patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance for confidentiality.
Gather vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care planning.
Educate patients on dental procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to promote ongoing health.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation and coding for insurance claims.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support across various specialties like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Experience with dental software platforms such as Dentrix, for scheduling, record keeping, and billing processes
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is always protected during documentation and record management.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
