Duties

Review and verify patient insurance information to ensure accuracy before procedures or treatments are performed
Submit insurance claims electronically using EMR (Electronic Health Records) systems, following all compliance standards
Follow up on unpaid claims, resolve denials, and coordinate with insurance companies to facilitate timely reimbursements
Maintain comprehensive dental records, including detailed documentation of billing codes, correspondence, and payment history
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance coverage, billing questions, and payment options
Stay updated on changes in dental coding standards, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance

Requirements

Proven experience in medical or dental office administration or healthcare billing with a focus on insurance coordination
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental records management, and billing procedures
Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and claim submission
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling sensitive patient information
Ability to communicate clearly with team members, insurance representatives, and patients in a professional manner
Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to dental/Medical billing and coding standards is highly preferred
