Nova Orthodontics is in need of an orthodontic assistant with at least one year of dental assisting experience to join our outstanding team. This is a 4 day work week with Thursdays off.

Responsibilities

Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic appliances.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using dental software systems.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Perform routine tasks such as taking X-rays, impressions/scans, and photographs of patients’ teeth.

Experience

Minimum 1 year previous experience as a dental assistant, orthodontic experienced preferred.
