Duties

Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction
Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, billing, coding, and insurance claims processing using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks
Supervise administrative staff and dental team members, providing leadership in human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
Coordinate medical office management tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient intake procedures, medical terminology documentation, and medical administrative support
Monitor clinic quality standards aligned with JCAHO accreditation requirements and manage utilization review processes for managed care plans
Facilitate communication between clinical staff, patients, insurance providers, and external healthcare entities to promote smooth operations

Skills

Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare management with a strong background in medical office experience and clinic operations
Expertise in managing fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and revenue cycle processes
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams within a healthcare setting
In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, medical records management, and compliance standards like JCAHO
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment involving acute care or hospital experience is advantageous
Excellent communication skills for effective human resources support and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
