Our established practice is looking for a full time financial coordinator and dental insurance specialist to join our team ASAP. Experience billing insurance and working with Open Dental are necessary.

We are a wonderful, 13-person staff with two full time general dentists and a three person front office team. The right candidate must have high skills with numbers and math, experience billing insurance, and excellent customer service abilities to have conversations with patients about financial matters. We are looking for someone with long term potential who fits into our loyal office family. Our office mission is to put patients first and provide honest, compassionate dental care to people of all ages and backgrounds. We are in network with a handful of PPO's, but no HMO's or state insurance.

Daily duties include:
-Managing patient accounts by accurately posting insurance and patient payments in Open Dental, and understanding EOB's to ensure everything is processing correctly
-Sending e-claims and pre-authorizations
-Sending statements
-Answering complex insurance billing questions
-Managing collections and accounts receivable

-Managing credentialling/re-credentialling as needed
-Light reception work to assist in answering phones and scheduling patients

This position is 4 days per week, Mon-Thu, with hours slightly negotiable, approximately 30-35 per week depending on efficiency. As part of the compensation package we can offer medical benefits partially paid by the office, dental benefits, a 401K, and accrued PTO that increases over time.
