Orthodontic Assistant

Our Orthodontic practice is looking for a motivated, team-oriented individual who understands the valuable role that the Orthodontic Assistant (EFDA) plays in an orthodontic practice. We are committed to excellence and seeking an individual with a great attitude to fill this role. We have a wonderful patient population, an enthusiastic team, and a sincere orthodontist dedicated to quality care.

Qualifications

State certification for expanded functions in orthodontics, high school diploma or equivalent, one year of EFDA experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

Encouraging, educating and motivating patients to follow the recommendation of the doctor
Charting of patient information (computerized)
Taking digital radiographs and intra-oral scans
Preparing teeth for bonding and debonding
Assisting in the placement and removal of appliances
Sterilizing instruments and operatories
Bracket/band setup
Inventory control
One year (EFDA)
