Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician specializing in removable prosthodontics to join our dynamic dental laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality removable dental prostheses, including complete dentures, partials, and implant-supported restorations. Your expertise will ensure precise craftsmanship, adherence to clinical specifications, and seamless collaboration with dental professionals. Duties

Prepare and fabricate removable dental prostheses such as complete dentures, partials, and implant-supported restorations using advanced laboratory techniques.
Utilize digital design software (CAD) and CAM software for accurate modeling and fabrication of prosthetic components.
Perform dental prosthesis finishing, including polishing, staining, and characterization to meet aesthetic standards.
Operate and maintain dental laboratory equipment, including microscopes, micrometers, and CAD/CAM systems.
Collaborate closely with dentists to interpret clinical instructions, treatment plans, and patient-specific requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all laboratory procedures.
Maintain detailed medical documentation and records of all fabricated prostheses, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Conduct quality control checks on all finished products to guarantee durability, fit, and aesthetic appeal.
Assist in the training of new team members in laboratory techniques related to removable prosthodontics and digital workflows.

Requirements

Proven experience in dental assisting with a focus on removable prosthodontics or laboratory experience specializing in dental fabrication.
Proficiency in digital design for dental prosthetics using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems.
Knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion principles, and implantology procedures related to full arch restorations.
Familiarity with dental materials such as ceramics, acrylics, and other prosthetic substances.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and medical coding relevant to dental procedures.
Ability to operate precision measuring tools like micrometers for accurate prosthesis fabrication.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
Effective communication skills for patient assessment support and collaboration with dental teams.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security is essential.
Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or similar platforms preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies including 3D CAD modeling and digital design workflows for custom prosthetic fabrication.
