We are a small family-oriented dental practice looking for friendly, personable, motivated, full-time hybrid dental assistant and front desk position in McDonald, PA. Office hours are Monday 8:30AM-3:30PM, Tuesday 8:30-5:30PM, Wednesday 8:30AM-3:30PM, Thursday 8:30AM-5:30PM and Friday 8:30AM-3:30PM.

Front Desk/Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
Assisting patients with filling out paperwork and updating medical records
Scheduling patient appointments and recalls
General office duties such as answering phones, scanning, and filing records to EMR
Calculating co-payments and deductibles, collecting patient payments and updating payment records
Telephone and email correspondence with specialist practices
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Verifying dental insurance coverage and benefits, communication with insurance companies, and submitting insurance claims
Chair side dental assisting duties including room tear down and sterilization.
Taking dental radiographs

Front Desk/Dental Assistant Requirements

High school diploma or GED, dental assisting/radiology license preferred
Experience in dental office preferred with understanding of dental terms and tooth charting
Customer service experience
Excellent organizational skills
Microsoft Office experience preferred
Experience with Open Dental (practice management software) preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
