About Our Practice/Lab

At Evans Orthodontics we take immense pride in the artistry and precision of traditional orthodontic laboratory work. We have recently upgraded our operations to a brand-new, modern laboratory facility equipped with the latest dental technology and top-of-the-line equipment. We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented lab technician who takes pride in producing immaculate, hand-crafted orthodontic appliances. If you have a passion for technical precision and love working with your hands, this is the perfect place to grow your career.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)

As our Orthodontic Lab Technician, your primary focus will be the flawless manual fabrication of customized orthodontic appliances. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Expert Wire Bending: Perform complex, highly precise custom wire bending for a variety of patient-specific prescriptions.
Appliance Fabrication: Fabricate, adjust, and finish specialized functional and retention appliances, including Hawley retainers, twin blocks, incisor blocks, and pontic retainers.
Model Preparation: Accurately pour, trim, and articulate physical stone models.
Acrylic Work: Apply, cure, trim, and polish acrylic components to ensure a comfortable, safe, and high-gloss finish for the patient.
Quality Control: Inspect all finished appliances compared to the doctor's exact prescription to ensure perfect structural integrity and fit before delivery.

Who We Are Looking For (Requirements & Skills)

Experience: Previous dental laboratory experience is highly preferred. Specific experience fabricating Hawley retainers and functional appliances (twin blocks/incisor blocks) is a major advantage.
Wire-Bending: Strong manual dexterity and extensive wire-bending skills are a large part of this role. You must be comfortable working closely with specialized pliers and instruments.
Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for symmetry, alignment, and technical specifications.
Reliability: Strong time-management skills to consistently meet laboratory production deadlines.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
