About Wildflower Orthodontics

Wildflower Orthodontics is a growing, patient-centered, female-owned private orthodontic practice built on clinical excellence, efficient systems, and exceptional patient experiences.

We combine cutting-edge technology, including CBCT, Damon brackets, Invisalign, 3D printing, and diode laser technology, with a relationship-driven approach to orthodontic care.

Our mission is simple: To be the best part of our patients' day. We want every patient to feel welcomed, comfortable, informed, and celebrated throughout their orthodontic journey.

As a startup practice, we're in an exciting phase of growth. We're building our team, refining our systems, and developing the foundation for long-term success. We believe the best practices are built through collaboration, fresh ideas, consistent feedback, and a team that takes pride in improving together.

We're looking for an experienced orthodontic assistant who wants to be more than just an assistant. We're looking for a future leader who is excited to help us grow!

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced orthodontic assistant who enjoys clinical excellence but also wants to play an active role in developing a growing practice.

You'll work closely with Dr. Keri and our leadership team to deliver outstanding patient care while helping create and refine the systems, workflows, and protocols that will support our continued growth.

As our clinical team expands, you'll have opportunities to help onboard, train, and mentor additional orthodontic assistants, contributing to a positive, efficient, and high-performing clinical team.

Because we're a startup, no two days will look exactly the same!

Some days will be focused on clinical care, while others may include improving workflows, developing training resources, organizing clinical systems, supporting marketing initiatives, or brainstorming ways to create an even better patient experience.

We're looking for someone who sees these opportunities as exciting rather than outside their job description. Someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, sharing ideas, finding solutions, and celebrating the team's accomplishments.

Most importantly, we want someone who understands that every new team member brings an opportunity for us all to learn, improve, and become stronger together.

Clinical Responsibilities

Obtain accurate patient records, including photographs, CBCT imaging, and iTero scans.
Assist Dr. Keri with orthodontic appointments, including braces and clear aligner treatment.
Provide clear, friendly patient education and communicate effectively with parents and families.
Perform 3D printing and assist with fabrication of retainers and aligners.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Ensure proper operatory setup, breakdown, sterilization, and infection control.
Maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment.
Follow established clinical protocols while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and the patient experience.

Leadership & Practice Development

As we grow, this role will have opportunities to contribute beyond traditional clinical assisting, including:

Clinical Leadership: Help establish a positive, accountable, and collaborative clinical environment.
Training & Mentorship: Support onboarding, training, and development of future orthodontic assistants as our team expands.
Systems & Protocols: Collaborate with leadership to create, implement, and refine clinical workflows, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient flow, communication, and overall team performance.
Team Collaboration: Share ideas, welcome feedback, and contribute to a culture where everyone is encouraged to learn from one another.
Startup Projects: Participate in special projects as needed, which may include marketing initiatives, patient experience enhancements, community events, technology implementation, and practice organization.
Growth Mindset: Embrace evolving responsibilities and help develop systems that support a growing team and patient base.

We're not expecting you to have all the answers. We value someone who is resourceful, curious, willing to ask questions, and excited to help us find the best solutions together.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on orthodontic clinical assisting experience.
Strong understanding of orthodontic procedures, clinical workflows, and patient care.
Dental X-ray certification preferred.
Experience training or mentoring other team members is a plus.
Experience helping implement clinical systems or improve workflows is a plus.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

Leads by example and naturally supports those around them.
Is self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative.
Has excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Enjoys working in a growing environment where priorities and responsibilities may evolve.
Brings ideas and solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Is confident in their clinical abilities while remaining open to coaching and feedback.
Is passionate about mentoring others and helping teammates succeed.
Values consistency, accountability, and well-established protocols.
Is adaptable, resourceful, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Brings warmth, positivity, professionalism, and a sense of humor to work.
Takes pride in creating exceptional patient experiences.
Believes that team success is more important than individual recognition.

You don't need to have held a formal leadership title. We're looking for someone who demonstrates leadership through their attitude, initiative, accountability, and desire to help others grow.

Schedule

We are open to the right candidate joining our team in either capacity:

Part-time: 2–3 days per week
Full-time: 4 days per week
Typical schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No regularly scheduled weekends
