Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through effective hygiene practices. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and aseptic techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as necessary.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical histories and conducting preliminary examinations.
Document patient information accurately in the dental office systems, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Assist in the management of infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide support in medical coding related to dental procedures when required.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and techniques.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and vital signs.
Familiarity with infection control procedures and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
Experience working in a dental clinic or office is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Proficiency in using dental office systems for documentation and patient management.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
