Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and patient service. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical billing, and office management practices.

Duties

Greet patients and manage front desk operations, including answering multi-line phone systems and scheduling appointments.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform insurance verification and assist with medical billing processes.
Review care plans and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence.
Assist with patient intake processes and maintain a welcoming environment for patients.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and health information management.
Proficiency in EHR systems such as Open Dental is a plus.
Strong computer skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and scheduling.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
