We offer a 4 days per week schedule.
Responsibilities:
-Review patient medical history
-Effectively clean patient's teeth of all biofilm and calculus deposits while maintaining patient comfort
-Help protect patients' teeth by applying fluoride treatments
-Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
-Provide scaling and root planing when necessary.
-Sterilize dental instruments properly
-Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
-Periodontal probing and Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
-Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
-Take diagnostic X-rays
-Take Itero scans
-Assist dentists with exams and charting
-Maintain documentation and charts on each patient including vitals
-Provide treatment in a timely manner, staying on schedule
-Monitor supplies
Skills
-Proven experience as Dental Hygienist a plus
-In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA)
-Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
-Outstanding communication skills
-A patient and friendly personality
-Attention to detail
-Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
-Laser certification/training in bacterial reduction a plus
-Current license to practice Dental Hygiene in Texas
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour
