We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for patients, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role is crucial in facilitating effective communication between patients and dental staff while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Handle medical billing processes, including insurance verification and processing claims.
Communicate with patients regarding care plans, treatment options, and follow-up appointments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and record handling.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
Assist in managing the flow of patients within the clinic to optimize service delivery.

Skills

Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical billing procedures and insurance claims processing.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance representatives.
Knowledge of Medicare processes is a plus but not required.
