Job Description:
We are currently seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Gaston County Detention Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing professional dental assistance to our inmates under the supervision of the dental staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dental staff in providing dental care to inmates
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate inmates on proper oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate dental records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding infection control procedures
