Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Front Desk/Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative functions of our clinic. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our dental office, contributing to a positive patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental calendar efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Assist with insurance verification and processing claims.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and address patient concerns.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow during appointments.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and anatomy to assist patients effectively.
- Support the clinical team as needed, including assisting with X-rays and other tasks related to general dentistry or pediatric dentistry.
Qualifications
- No experience necessary, but previous experience as a Dental Receptionist/Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and aseptic techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of general dentistry principles and pediatric dentistry practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to the dental field.
- Must be a great team player.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental administration is an advantage.
