We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling/root planing and polishing teeth.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
- Assist in the management of infection control procedures to maintain a safe clinic environment.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and office efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and familiarity with medical imaging procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and work collaboratively with the dental team.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
