Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. This role requires expertise in various dental procedures, patient assessment, and maintaining compliance with health regulations.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure comprehensive care.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record management.
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures, providing chairside support to the dentist during treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
Manage medical imaging tasks, including taking X-rays and interpreting results as necessary.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in handling patient records and confidentiality.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve clinic operations.

Experience
Candidates should possess:

A valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with familiarity with general dentistry practices.
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and documentation review processes.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of EMR systems and medical coding practices.
