Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team and take the role of patient care coordinator. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, billing insurance, and maintaining accurate medical/dental records. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of dental terminology.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule and confirm appointments using our practice management software, Dentrix.
Make outgoing calls to fill the hygiene and doctor schedule when there is an opening.
Maintain accurate medical/dental records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Handle phone inquiries efficiently, providing information about services and addressing patient concerns.
Process patient information and insurance claims accurately.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.
Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring the reception area is organized and welcoming.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a dental receptionist familiar with dental lingo.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Dentrix is a plus.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and office management practices.
Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff in a professional manner.
Knowledge of probate practice operations and procedures is advantageous.
